A light turnout for United Bass Anglers at Highland Lake, CT.  14 club members made the 2 hour haul.  Most came with high hopes of quick limits and culling ropes.  Unfortunately, it was a slow grind for the majority.  Jim Meyer walked away with victory by posting a 5-fish mixed bag limit weighing 11.56lbs.  Jim reported catching his fish in shallow rock, and was likely wielding a spinning rod to do his damage.  John Garbarini, Jr. finished in 2nd with 5-fish that went 9.66lbs.  His 5th fish came with 15 minutes to go in the tournament.  Topwater, small tubes, and beavers scared up his fish.  Manny Cruz fought off the "break-offs to round out the top 3 with 5-fish for 8.75lbs.  No doubt he "saw" them.
